Are you our new Plant Manager?

We currently have a vacancy for the position of Plant Manager at our Bergen plant at CCB in Ågotnes. The Plant Manager is responsible for leading the Plant team to ensure that product stock levels meet agreed inventory levels, known shipment demands and production plans whilst ensuring that product is prepared to meet customer specification (cesium formate, muds and brines). They will work closely with Process, Maintenance, Distribution and Purchasing to effectively plan and progress work programs as well as manage and plan the reclamation process to ensure that annual targets are met and maintaining the site inventory file at all times. They will be responsible for ensuring that the daily sampling process is being carried out in accordance with company policy. All of this will be carried out whilst creating and maintaining a safe, positive and inclusive work environment ensuring safe working practices, site safety rules and compliance with all policies, procedures and standard business practices as they pertain to the warehouse / yard and inventory management functions, including internal control and ISO 9000 standards.

The ideal candidate will have a strong proven record of site and people and management. They will have extensive knowledge of warehouse, packaging, shipping and inventory management practices as well as a good understanding of plant capabilities, throughput constraints of the plant units and bottleneck rates and cycle times. They will be an excellent communicator and have good interpersonal skills, with the aptitude to impact and influence all levels of employees and management, both inside with company and externally with suppliers. They will have a working knowledge of demand planning tools, short-range and long-term forecasting and inventory planning as well as strong hands-on working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
