We're looking for an analytical Test Engineer
Are you our new problem solver?
We're pushing the boundaries of maritime robotics and need an analytical and skilled software Test Engineer to ensure our software products are robust and reliable. Join our dynamic team and play a crucial role in validating our technologies. You'll be instrumental in designing and executing test protocols, contributing to the refinement of our software specifications, and guaranteeing our products perform flawlessly in critical applications.
Your key responsibilities:
Evaluate our software products thoroughly and design comprehensive test protocols.
Execute rigorous testing procedures and prepare detailed, insightful reports.
Refine software specifications for quality assurance against established standards.
Design and implement both manual and automated test procedures.
Contribute to the validation of safety-critical systems in maritime environments.
Relevant expertise to succeed:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field.
3+ years of proven experience in software testing, verification, and validation, ideally within safety-critical domains (maritime, automotive, aerospace, or medical devices).
Experience with uncrewed systems, robotics, or maritime applications is highly desirable, but not mandatory.
Strong knowledge of software verification and validation methodologies for safety-critical systems.
Proficiency in test automation frameworks (e.g., Robot Framework, PyTest, JUnit) and programming languages (Python, C++, etc.).
Familiarity with RTOS, embedded software, and middleware (ROS, DDS, MOOS-IvP).
Experience with HIL and SIL testing.
Knowledge of formal methods, model-based testing, and requirements-based testing.
Understanding of safety standards (IEC 61508, ISO 26262, DO-178C, IMO).
Expertise in designing test plans, cases, and procedures for complex systems.
Experience with failure modes, fault injection, and stress testing.
Hands-on experience with sensor validation (LiDAR, Radar, Camera, GNSS, IMU).
Proficiency with version control (Git, SVN) and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with requirements management tools (DOORS, Polarion, Jama).
Who are you, then?
A strong problem-solver with analytical skills.
An excellent team player with strong communication abilities that ensure clarity and safety
Comfortable with field testing and live deployments.
Fluent in spoken and written English.
What we offer:

Om arbeidsgiveren
Since 2005, Maritime Robotics has pioneered and led the development of advanced sea drones (Uncrewed Surface Vessels USVs) and maritime autonomy. Our core technology, the autonomous navigation system (ANS), enables safe and efficient remote and autonomous operations at sea.
These robotic solutions are vital for precise seabed mapping, ocean research, securing marine infrastructure, and operations in challenging environments. Globally deployed ANS and USVs contribute to sustainable, efficient, and safe maritime navigation, minimizing fuel use. In today’s world, our technology is also crucial for protecting communities and assets. We see growing demand from defense, security, hydrography, marine construction, and the energy sector.
