We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Data Platform Engineer!
Cloud Infrastructure manage the DNV multicloud environments based on our Private Cloud, Microsoft Azure, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and Amazon Web Services - branded as the “VerIT Platform”.
Our main responsibilities are to operate, support and drive innovation across all the key infrastructure disciplines. We support the DNV growth ambitions by active participation in many global mergers & acquisition projects. We embrace the latest technology stack from key partners to build the best solutions for DNV business areas, Group functions and external customers. We are around 100 professionals in 10 locations around the world with main hubs in Oslo, Gdynia, Shanghai and Houston.
We are on a journey to deploy infrastructure at scale using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and a continuous push to drive automation and efficiency in our daily work processes.

The Data Platform Engineer will play an essential role in maintaining the backbone of our IT infrastructure to ensure data is efficiently stored, managed, and protected to meet our strategic and operational objectives.
The focus areas for the Data Platform Engineer will include:
Design and develop robust data platforms and infrastructure in line with DNV data management strategy and business needs.
Ensure scalable, reliable, secure and cost-effective storage architecture for deployment both in private and public cloud.
Integrate storage technologies (NAS, SAN, object storage, cloud storage) into existing data platforms to ensure seamless data flow and accessibility.
Handle daily operations and lifecycle management of global and hybrid data storage solutions.
Design and implement disaster recovery strategies and solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy systems in line with our IT security and infrastructure requirements.
Provide Level 3 technical support for storage and data-related issues, working with support teams to resolve complex problems.
Communicate architecture and strategies to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
We are looking for a candidate with:
A university degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
A good understanding of cloud delivery models, data platform and storage architecture – or IT infrastructure architecture in general.
Experience with Block, File, Object – and Unified storage solutions
Competence in Infrastructure as Code and automation.
Security mindset, ensuring security and risk mitigation is embedded into all solutions and processes.
Experience with disaster recovery solutions and planning.
Fluent proficiency in English – written and oral.
