Integration Developer
At Schibsted Media, our mission is to empower people in the Nordics to make informed decisions through high-quality journalism and innovative digital solutions. Behind the scenes, our Integration Solutions team ensures that systems and services are seamlessly connected, enabling efficient workflows and operations across the organization.
We’re now looking for an Integration Developer with expertise in platform and infrastructure management to join our Integration Solutions team. If you're passionate about building scalable integration systems, automating infrastructure, and working in a collaborative, open-minded team—this could be your next exciting challenge.
In this role, you will have two main responsibilities - development and infrastructure management. You will be a key member of the development team, as well as collaborate closely with the infrastructure team to manage the platform infrastructure, ensuring seamless system integration and robust infrastructure management. You will ensure that the different components of the integration platform (logging, monitoring, deployment etc) work seamlessly together in a unified manner.
🌍 Why this role matters
With Schibsted transitioning into two distinct companies—Schibsted Media and Schibsted Marketplaces—our Integration Solutions team is playing a key role in building a future-ready integration landscape. We’re establishing a new Integration Competency Center (ICC) to support this transformation, and you’ll be part of shaping the tools, processes, and infrastructure that support essential business operations across HR, Finance, Payroll, and more.
What you’ll do
As an Integration Developer focused on platform and infrastructure, you will:
✅ Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable and secure integration solutions.
✅ Manage infrastructure components using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.
✅ Drive CI/CD adoption by building tools and automating workflows with GitHub Actions.
✅ Monitor and maintain platform performance with proactive incident and environment management.
✅ Implement DevOps best practices across multiple environments to ensure efficiency and resilience.
✅ Collaborate with both IT and business stakeholders to translate needs into practical, scalable solutions.
✅ Work closely with Solution Architects and Integration Architects to continuously evolve our integration platform.
✅ Actively contribute to a transparent, agile team environment—sharing responsibilities like the Scrum Master role.
Who you are
We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment and values honest collaboration. You might be a great match if you:
✅ Are passionate about technology and creating well-functioning, scalable integration solutions.
✅ Have a DevOps mindset and enjoy combining development with infrastructure work.
✅ A strong communicator who can explain complex technical concepts in simple terms.
✅ Are pragmatic, proactive, and always looking for opportunities to improve tools and processes.
✅ Enjoy working closely with others and helping build a collaborative team culture.
✅ Embrace feedback and continuous learning as part of your daily work.
What you bring
We're looking for a strong mix of technical skills and collaborative mindset. Ideally, you have:
🔧 Hands-on experience designing and implementing integration solutions using tools like MuleSoft, Azure Integration Services, APIs, and event-driven messaging.
🔄 Solid understanding of CI/CD principles and the ability to automate deployments with GitHub Actions.
🧱 Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, especially Terraform.
🧠 Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for creating maintainable, high-quality solutions.
🤝 The ability to work independently while contributing actively to an agile, team-driven environment.
