Olivier Lavielle is passionate about the 1960s, America, and the Ford Mustang. Bearing the name of a wild horse, driven by Steve McQueen in a legendary car chase in the film Bullitt (1968), and a symbol both of America’s power and the rebelliousness of youth, the Mustang has become a myth. Early versions of the car, from the 1960s, elevated here through the lens of this French photographer, are those that have left the strongest impressions.
