MuDu watches have an interesting history - they are good quality Swiss watches that were smuggled in the UK to avoid import tax and then sold outside the normal retail channels. After a large customs seizure a large number of these watches made it to the retailers after they were auctioned off by the government!
This is an early MuDu watch and is a manual wind unlike the popular watches from them in the 1960s. This watch is a nice dress watch as it is quite thin and sits nicely under a shirt.

About me:
As a pastime I buy old watches and try to restore them to their former glory. To fund my hobby I have decided to sell some of the watches I believe are ready to be, and should be, worn again. The watches I work on are typically those where the paying the price of a full professional service would be hard to justify. Each watch is disassembled, cleaned, inspected, re-assembled, lubricated (with top end modern synthetic oils), demagnetised and then regulated to run as accurately as possible. If spare parts are needed, original parts are ordered or salvaged from watches with the same movements. New gaskets are installed and, if needed, the mainspring and crystal are replaced and a new strap fitted
