1. Comprehensive improvement in image quality:
The third-generation lens has significantly improved image quality from center to edge, especially at the maximum aperture of f/2.8, the sharpness of the center and edges is excellent, which is suitable for the needs of high-pixel bodies (such as EOS 5D Mark IV, EOS 5DS R).
The use of 2 large-diameter double-sided aspherical lenses and 2 UD ultra-low dispersion lenses effectively controls dispersion and distortion, and the barrel distortion at the wide-angle end and the pincushion distortion at the telephoto end are well suppressed.
2. Excellent performance at large aperture:
The f/2.8 constant aperture performs well in low-light environments and can provide good background blur effects, especially when shooting at the 35mm end.
When the aperture is fully open, the vignetting is well controlled, and the vignetting almost disappears after the aperture is narrowed to f/4.
3. Strong anti-glare and ghosting capabilities:
The SWC sub-wavelength structure coating and ASC air spherical coating are used to effectively suppress glare and ghosting when shooting against the light, which is suitable for shooting scenery and architecture.
