Are you a skilled and experienced Developer?
With great ambitions, we need great people!
Klaveness Digital is a Norwegian tech company transforming global shipping and supply chains. As the innovation engine of the Klaveness Group, we develop a diverse portfolio of digital solutions that empower some of the world’s largest industrial companies to solve real-world supply chain challenges and make smarter, data-driven decisions.
By combining advanced analytics, real-time data, and user-centered design, our solutions tackle the complexities of maritime logistics to drive impactful change. At Klaveness Digital, we embrace creativity, collaboration, and bold ideas, creating a dynamic environment where your work will make a difference.
Join us on our mission to redefine and improve the nature of shipping.
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Developer to help drive the digital transformation of a traditional industry, solving valuable, real-world problems for our users. Our Development Team is responsible for both growing our portfolio of SaaS products and contributing to early-stage prototyping in our innovation pipeline.
About the Role
We are seeking a versatile full-stack Developer, ideally with experience building SaaS products across both early and mature stages of development.
You will join a highly skilled and collaborative team, working across the full development lifecycle — from evaluating new ideas and designing system architecture to coding, automated testing, deployment, performance monitoring, and iteration. Our philosophy is simple: if you build it, you run it.
As a small and efficient team, everyone contributes broadly, and you will have the opportunity to influence everything from product direction to implementation details. You will also work closely with colleagues across product, design, customer success, support, and commercial teams — gaining exposure to the full SaaS journey from development to market.
The position is based in Oslo and will involve interactions across different time zones as we also have offices in Dubai, Manila, Singapore, and Tokyo and a world-wide customer base.
We believe you:
Have a deep interest in software development and a pragmatic mindset
Prefer a functional programming approach — we primarily use Scala and TypeScript
See deep business domain knowledge as essential for building valuable solutions
Bring an analytical and curious mindset, focused on solving core problems with scalable, long-term solutions
Thrive in a collaborative team environment while staying confident working independently
Work in a structured way and follow processes, but also question them when they do not add value
Welcome challenges from others and contribute constructively by challenging ideas in return
Communicate clearly and effectively (our working language is English)
Bring 5+ years of relevant experience and hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree
It is a bonus if you also bring:
Experience with Scala, TypeScript, React and relational databases
Familiarity with SaaS products or working in lean, agile teams
Insight into logistics or supply chain domains
If this sounds like a great opportunity, we would love to hear from you. Please send us your application letter and CV — and if you have a piece of code you are especially proud of, feel free to include that too. We are reviewing applications on an ongoing basis, with a final deadline of close of business on Monday, 21 April 2025.
As this position is based in Oslo, we are only considering candidates who reside in Norway and can work from our Oslo office.
Questions can be directed to VP, Head of Commercial and Operations, Jeremy Freeman at +47 471 54 140.
All contact will be treated in full confidence.
