Unique Pokémon Crystal: Japanese cartridge, English gameplay!

First of its kind that I see in Norway: a modified version of the Japanese Pokemon Crystal. An original Japanese game pak (as released in the year 2000), of which the ROM chip was replaced with one from a European release (sometimes referred to as a "ROM swap"). As a result this Japanese cartridge (with its distinguished label, famous white circuit board, crystal on the back and double screws) has English language gameplay!
Although a bit of a Frankenstein, this game is made up entirely out of original components and fully legitimate (original game experience, Pokemon will trade with other games etc.). The game is in excellent condition, cleaned inside and out and comes with a fresh save battery (installed April 2025). Works entirely as expected (apart from the language 😉).
