This position reports to
Marine System Service Manager
Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to be part of our Service Line Marine System Service team and collaborate closely with Business Line Coast Guard & Navy. You’ll work on solutions that keep our customers up and running at all times and streamline support and maintenance concepts for advanced systems in collaboration with the Marine System Service.
The work model for the role is hybrid: #LI-hybrid
You will be mainly accountable for:
Developing a system for obsolescence management for Business Line Coast Guard and Navy, based on ABB's lifecycle management program.
Developing a process and system for handling of documents with Service for Coast Guard and Navy.
Developing a system for spare parts according to NATO standards.
Adapting Marine service maintenance recommendations to Navy requirements and standards S1000D & S2000M.
Assisting the Project ILS engineers and the service support team in following up on ILS requirements once the vessel is operation.
Creating training programs for customer operational personnel.
Assisting and ensuring that all digital requirements are met and adapted.
Customer and supplier contact.
Qualifications for the role
Bachelor/Master's degree in Electrical Power/Drives or Automation (lack of formal education can be compensated with experience).
Skilled in teamwork.
Experience from the marine/shipping industry.
Ability to understand customer needs.
Initiative, ownership, and ability to organize tasks.
Structured and meticulous.
Good oral and written communication skills in English.
This position requires security clearance by the Norwegian National Security Authority. The successful candidate may start work with limited access whilst the clearance is being processed. Please note that this might affect the offer process or employment.
