Jefferson Wells is hiring a Process Control Engineer for a long-term assignment with one of our clients. We are looking for someone with strong skills in system design and the creation of detailed technical documentation that serves as the foundation for programmers and automation engineers.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Develop system design for customized external control systems.

• Create detailed technical documentation to support programming work, including:

  • Signal lists

  • Functional Design Specifications

  • Cause and Effect diagrams / Safety matrices

  • Interface descriptions

  • Control System Topology

• Participate in reviews of P&IDs, process flow diagrams, and HAZOP/design reviews.

• Coordinate technical documentation and input with suppliers and internal teams.

• Contribute to procurement and commissioning documentation as needed.

Background and Qualifications

• Higher education within Automation, Control Systems, Cybernetics, or similar field.

• Strong understanding of control systems design and documentation processes.

• Ability to read and interpret I/O lists, instrument and valve lists, and interface documents.

• Experience in creating the technical foundation for control system programming.

• Fluent in English; Norwegian is an advantage.

This is a 12-month assignment starting August 1st or earlier by agreement, with the possibility of extension or permanent hire.
