VP Sales
Position Summary
Reporting to the Commercial Director Europe, the VP Sales is accountable for execution of the business development, channel management and sales strategy for the Company’s business verticals.
Responsibilities
- This position will be responsible for all customers in the Ålesund region and North of Norway.
- Contribute to the development of the strategic sales, marketing communication and product marketing direction for the business verticals.
- Contribute to tactical planning of operational direction and plans for sales quota and revenue attainment.
- Develop tactical sales plans to meet revenue targets and maximize sales growth within the framework of approved pricing and maximizing gross margins.
- Maintain and develop assigned channel partner relationships and work with channel partners in developing leads into sales opportunities and ultimately converting them into sales.
- Maintain and develop account relationships with end users – ship owners and operators.
- Source new leads and sales opportunities from channel partners and business development activity.
- Monitor, measure and report channel partner initiatives and related sales progress to team and management.
- Create and maintain accurate sales forecasts in the CRM such that the Company has transparency on the amount and timing of contract signing and revenue recognition.
- Work closely with Technical Sales and Bid Management to ensure customer solutions meet the end user’s mission.
- Develop, maintain and communicate a deep understanding of Corvus technology, alternative and competing technology, the Corvus value proposition and competitive advantage and the methodology that can be used by end users for the calculation of payback period, ROI and IRR.
- Work closely with Customer Support to ensure end users ongoing success and develop follow on sales opportunities.
- Maintain knowledge of the market drivers, industry developments and related technology and work closely with product marketing in the development of the product road map
- Ensure that sales strategies and tactical plans are consistent with and support forecasts which are in turn consistent with the operating plan and annual budget and long-term plans.
- Analyze, evaluate and develop the channel management and sales methodology relative to the associated sales and marketing costs relative to result resulting revenue.
- Manage and optimize sales and marketing costs in accordance with sales forecasts and spending budgets.

Education
- 10+ years of relevant experience within technical or maritime sales
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant technical experience
