What Will You Work On?

You will be involved in the further development of the SmartROV concept, including:

• Object Recognition and Position Estimation: Develop advanced solutions in collaboration with SINTEF, tested in our Merlin "Residential ROV" (R-ROV) simulator before implementation.
• Station Keeping and Path Follow Mode: Enhance these critical functionalities.
• Anti-Collision Systems: Innovate safety measures for underwater operations.
• SafeSub Project: Participate in this project alongside NTNU, SINTEF, and Imenco. More information: https://www.sintef.no/en/projects/2023/safesub_en/ 
• Digital Twin Development: Create a digital twin for Merlin R-ROV.
• Semi-Autonomous Intervention: Advance remote intervention capabilities.
• Remote Control Systems: Develop systems for subsea components via 4G and satellite.
• Work-Class ROVs: Improve control systems for Merlin UCV and Merlin NEXTGEN.

Who Are We Looking For?

We seek individuals who are newly graduated or have up to five years of experience and are passionate about developing advanced control systems.

Desired Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Cybernetics, Automation, or Robotics.
• Strong knowledge of mathematics and control engineering.
• 0–5 years of experience.
• Experience with C++ and Python is a plus.
• Experience with computer vision is a plus.
