Would you like to lead the Service Desk in Atea's Managed Service?
Would you like to lead the Service Desk in Atea's Managed Service, responsible for managing and developing the service experience for Atea's customers? We are seeking a Business Unit Manager Service Desk for Norway. AMS's headquarters is located in Drammen.
Atea Managed Services are experts in IT operations. Whether customers want to outsource parts or all their IT operations, Atea is their preferred operations partner.
Your primary tasks
You will be responsible for a Service Desk with 90 people, of which 6 are Team Leads, and you have 9 Managers reporting directly to you, handling IT-related inquiries and problem-solving for Norwegian customers.
Your primary area of work is to lead the development and operation of the Service Desk, and in collaboration with the rest of Atea, achieve set goals and strategies. Furthermore, you will be involved in tenders and participate in customer meetings. You will join a leadership group across the Nordics where you will collectively spar and develop the service experience. We are looking for someone who naturally builds strong relationships and enjoys close collaboration with both their own team and across the organization.
About you
As a strategic leader, you are deeply passionate about fostering the growth and development of the Service Desk. Your exceptional people management skills enable you to engage and motivate your team effectively, ensuring that everyone is aligned with the division’s goals. By leveraging your strong communication and interpersonal abilities, you build a cohesive and collaborative environment where your division thrives together.
Success in this role requires significant experience from an IT Service Desk or a similar setting, coupled with a solid technical foundation. Your strategic thinking is complemented by a strong execution capability. You prioritize structure and a results-driven approach while maintaining an unwavering commitment to delivering outstanding customer service. Additionally, your dedication to both personal and professional development ensures that you and your team remain competitive and continuously improve.
Qualifications and experiences
- Senior leadership experience with a communicative and coaching appearance
- Strong ability to motivate and drive progress within a high-performing team
- Outgoing personality with a talent for establishing and maintaining excellent collaborative relationships with both customers and colleagues
- Results-oriented and energetic, excelling in a performance-driven culture
- Background in the IT industry, preferably with experience in knowledge-based service (KCS)
- Highly organized with a focus on optimizing workflows and processes
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Norwegian and English
