Café & Events Employee – Naturen Brasserie, Norrøna House

We are looking for a highly motivated Cafe & Events Employee!

Naturen Café & Event Venues is part of Norrøna House, located in a historic building from 1862 with breathtaking views of the waterfall. Here, we combine high-quality service with a love for great food, coffee, and memorable events. Norrøna House combines Norrøna’s largest Flagship Store, a theater venue, and spaces for dining and events.

The facilities include a cozy bar and café that perfectly blend warmth and minimalism, offering fresh coffee, refreshing beverages, and light meals in a welcoming atmosphere. The event spaces, including a Chambre Separee and theater venue, host everything from intimate gatherings to large celebrations.

This is a multi-functional role, perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys engaging with customers, and has a passion for food & beverage service, and event execution. As a Café & Events Employee, you’ll ensure smooth daily café operations, contribute to running memorable events, and provide top-notch service.

Main responsibilities

• Assist with a cafe’s daily operations and interact with guests to ensure they have a positive experience in Cafe & Events
• Prepare and serve food and beverages (sandwiches, salads, smoothies, coffee, etc.)
• Open and close the café, ensuring cleanliness and organization
• Handle cash register operations and process payments accurately
• Maintain hygiene and follow food safety regulations
• Support a positive work environment and collaborate with colleagues
• Follow up on events, assisting with setup, coordination, and execution
• Be aware of and comply with Norwegian alcohol regulations and laws
• Be flexible and available for weekend shifts and closing duties

Who you are

• Strong communicator in Norwegian and English
• Positive, service-minded, and a team player
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced, sometimes hectic environment
• Independent, responsible, and solution-oriented
• Passionate about coffee, food, and creating great guest experiences
• Previous experience in hospitality and/or in similar roles is a big advantage
• Experience of serving & selling alcohol drinks, however it is not a requirement to apply
• Preferably 20+ years
