We are now looking for a hands-on, execution-focused Country Operations Manager for XXL Norway, responsible for retail store operations and the local execution of centrally defined strategies. The role is responsible for day-to-day store operations and performance across regions and teams, working closely with support functions and other country teams. You will report to the Group COO and be part of the COO Management Team. 

This is a key operational role within Norway’s largest sports retail chain, offering you the opportunity to influence and develop daily operations in a value-driven environment. Key Responsibilities:

• Operational leadership and performance follow-up of store operations in Norway

• Execute centrally defined plans and initiatives in the local market

• Work closely with regional managers, store leaders and support teams to ensure strong execution and customer satisfaction

• Contribute to the implementation of marketing activities and campaigns at store level

• Monitor KPIs, cost development, and staffing in line with targets and budgets

• Be a visible and unifying leader in the stores and field, with high presence and focus on execution
  
  

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in operational retail leadership, preferably with multi-unit or regional responsibility

• Experience from fast-paced and performance-driven environments

• Strong in execution, structure, and follow-up

• A confident leader who motivates teams and builds culture

• Strong collaboration skills and ability to balance local execution with group direction

• Fluent in Norwegian and English, written and spoken

• High presence in stores and willingness to travel
