Join us in developing the future of underwater robotics
Due to increasing project activity, we are expanding our operational team – are you ready to dive in?
Are you genuinely curious, eager to learn, and passionate about sustainable use of our oceans? Do you want to help develop and test cutting-edge underwater technology with an enthusiastic and experienced team?
Who We Are
Eelume develops autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) for sustainable seabed mapping and inspection of subsea infrastructure. Our AUVs are unique, with exceptional maneuverability that allows them to collect high-quality optical and acoustic data.
We have an in-house lab equipped with tools, instrumentation, and our own test pool. A significant part of our development process includes real-world testing – both from dockside and onboard our 5–10 meter workboats. We also conduct pilots and assignments together with customers – a rapidly growing area. To support this increase in mission activity, we are strengthening our operational capacity.
What We're Looking For
We are seeking a versatile, well-organized, and hands-on individual to take operational responsibility for our outdoor and at-sea testing activities, as well as customer missions and AUV system assembly. Your responsibilities will include:
Operating and maintaining our workboats and associated equipment
Planning and preparing for test activities
Coordinating transport, logistics, and on-site testing together with our development team
Managing our workshop and technical inventory
Supporting mechanical and electrical integration and testing of our AUV systems
AUV system assembly
Performing AUV system as a service campaign with our customers
What You Bring
Hands-on experience with remotely operated or autonomous underwater vehicles (ROV/AUV) – this is a mandatory qualification
Solid general technical skills, including handling of mechanical and electrical systems
Understand and be able to explain the fundamentals of key types of navigational & payload equipment, including: GPS, GNSS, INS, FLS, DVL, USBL, MBES, SSS, SAS, SVP, SBP.
“Seamanship”, e.g. small boats, knots, weather
Driver’s license (minimum class B)
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
We value practical experience and technical understanding. A technical background is beneficial, but not a strict requirement.
Personal Qualities
Structured and safety-conscious
Solution-oriented and proactive
Self-driven while also open to assigned tasks
Positive team player who contributes to a great working environment
What We Offer
An opportunity to work with cutting-edge underwater robotic systems
A dynamic and passionate team solving real-world challenges
Influence over your tasks and day-to-day work
