Position overview

As a Senior Accountant at Neuver Maritime, you will be a key member of our finance team, being responsible for the accounting process from start to finish and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. This role requires a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.

Your main responsibilities

• Managing daily bookkeeping, invoicing, payments, and financial controls

• Monthly reporting

• Preparing and supporting annual audits

• Contribute to the coordination and consolidation of financial statements from all subsidiaries

• Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards and regulations

• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy in collaboration with VP Group Controlling

• Performing monthly account reconciliations

• Reporting VAT, company tax, and customs tax

This is an autonomous role where you’ll oversee the full accounting process. You will be part of a small finance team where we support each other to achieve our goals. While the workload follows monthly reporting deadlines and annual audits, the pace may intensify during reporting periods. The role is preferably based at one of Neuver Maritime’s locations in Ålesund or Brattvåg.

What you need to succeed?

We are looking for someone with:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, economics and business administration or a similar field

• 5+ years of experience in a similar position

• Strong collaboration and communication skills

• A detail-oriented mindset with a structured and analytical approach

• The ability to work independently while thriving in a team environment

• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, solid knowledge of ERP and in particular Dynamics 365 is a plus
