We are now looking for a (Senior) DevOps Engineer to strengthen our Engineering Team. As a DevOps Engineer, you will be a key part of Hitachi’s technical specialist team located in Norway. This involves solving complex technical issues and contributing with your expertise in ongoing projects. You will be responsible for the design, deployment and level 2 support of the infrastructure and solution, and ensuring best practices within TMS and on national signaling systems.

The DevOps Engineer will have the following key responsibilities:

• Working in the DevOps team, addressing all topics for DevOps for the TMS project

• Taking the lead on one or more topics to address them end-to-end (requirement refinement/understanding, design, prototyping, implementation, documentation, roll-out to customer system and production, knowledge sharing, etc.)

• Building expertise in one of the DevOps domains for the project (monitoring, reactive and proactive fixes, intrusion detection system integration, deployment industrialization, etc.)

• Contribute to recruitment, development and training of our Operation Team

To be qualified for this role, you need to have the following qualifications and experience:

• Relevant technical education at University level, preferably BSc or equivalent. Relevant experience can compensate for lack of formal education.

• Technical knowledge of Kubernetes, helm charts, ansible scripting and terraform automation

• Experience and understanding about IT security

• Good knowledge about Linux OS and bash scripting

• Experience in leading a small team of engineers or developers based on Agile SCRUM methodology (e.g. as team lead, scrum master or product owner)

• Autonomy in work, but with the ability to work well in teams

• Good communication skills with the ability to motivate the team and communicate directly with the customer

• Fluency in English, written and spoken

In addition, it is desirable/advantageous with the following competencies:

• Experience in IT solution architecture

• Background from networking and VMWare

• Experience on Azure cloud

• Experience of Java and Python development

• Usage of JIRA and Confluence/Wiki

• Experience within railway, preferably also within ERTMS and TMS
