(Junior) Manager – Logistics and Offshore Operations

Location: Oslo / Stavanger, Norway

About the Role

As a Base and operational Manager in our Logistics and Offshore Operations, you will lead our warehouse, stock yard operation. You will work closely with suppliers and customers to ensure smooth operations and maintain high standards of quality and safety. The role requires a hands-on approach to logistics and operations management.

This position is based at our Stavanger yard. However, frequent travel to our main office in Oslo is required.    Alternatively, it may be considered to have the position based in Oslo with very frequent visits to Stavanger.

Key Responsibilities

Basic operation

• To receive goods as shipped to Norway by sea or by lorry at same time preparing storage facility to receive the goods.

• To inspect the goods arrange for repairs, preservation and insurance claims.

• To vouch and store documentation and traceability to goods.  

• To receive goods out requests from customers. To arrange for the preparation and delivery of such goods. This includes accessories and special handling requirements.  

• To receive goods in back load from customer. To inspect, repair and return to stock yard.

• To conduct stock counts

• To ensure proper preservation of goods.

Invoicing and Cost Control:

·         Invoice all activities in a timely manner and control and approve supplier invoices.

·         Implement cost control measures for more effective storing, handling, and yard usage.

HSE and Quality Control:

·         Work closely with the HSE and QA/QC manager to ensure all procedures are followed.

·         Handle non-conformance reports and perform countermeasures.

·         Support the HSE Manager in HSE reporting and track and prepare KPIs for monthly submission to management.

Qualifications & Skills

Required:

·         Strong communication skills in Norwegian and English (written and spoken).

• Numeracy

·      A self-driven and independent work ethic, with a proactive and energetic approach.

Preferred but not required:

·         Prior work experience in logistics and/or operations management, ideally from oil industry.
