Are you an experienced software tester who still want to be involved in testing, but also play a pivotal role in planning how, where and when we test, both now and in the future?

In Gexcon, we deliver multiple software products around advanced safety engineering for the industry. Some of these products are on-prem products which typically have 3-5 releases per year, and some are software-as-a-service (SaaS) products where we make continuous releases.

We are now looking for a talented QA lead to join our team in Bergen and take ownership of testing activities and strategy for our internationally renowned software products.

Job description

• Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers to ensure high-quality software releases

• Work closely with software development teams, product management and CTO to identify strategically important areas of improvement (e.g. areas where we need to invest more in automated tests)

• Plan and coordinate testing activities related to software releases

• Track, categorize, and if necessary escalate, detected defects

• Continuously improve QA processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness

Qualifications

• Experience as software tester. Experience as QA lead is a plus, but not mandatory

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Familiarity with agile software methodologies is a plus

• Experience and understanding of the benefits of automated tests

• English is our working language. Proficiency in Norwegian is a plus, but not required
