This is a Sanyo TRC-3680 Mini Talk Book MiniCassette Voice Recorder. This will work with MiniCassettes but not MicroCassettes. A voice recorder is also sometimes known as a dictaphone - it is used to record audio (e.g. dictation, lectures, notes, interviews, etc) onto a cassette which can then be played back at a later date.

Will my cassettes work in this unit?

This unit uses MiniCassettes. It will play and record on MiniCassettes. MiniCassettes are easily confused with MicroCassettes. If you are unsure what type of cassette you have, please check the size of your cassette:

A Mini-Cassette measures 2 1/4" x 1 1/2" (55mm x 33mm)

A Micro-Cassette measures 2" x 1 1/2" (50mm x 33mm)
