This is about the King David’s Prayers. Color Painting Illustrated. King David was a shepherd boy who became Israel’s third and most important king. He’s the most frequently mentioned human in the Old Testament, and the second most frequently mentioned human in the entire Bible (only Jesus Christ is mentioned more).

Age:

Could be from the 15. century or much older. Mostly like directly connected to the Ethiopian Orthodox Axum Church or the Lalibela Ethiopian Church.

Language:

The language in the Prayer Book is Geʽez. A Semitic language spoken in Eritrea/Ethiopia when Eritrea still was a part of Ethiopia before the war ended in 1992. Geʽez is used only as the main liturgical language of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church and Eritrean Orthodox Tewahedo Church, the Ethiopian Catholic Church and Eritrean Catholic Church, and the Beta Israel Jewish community.

Bought it from an Antique Shop in Asmara, Eritrea in 1993.
