The Alchemist from K2 is the ultimate when it comes to freeride boards. The K2 team has tested and tested, improved and tested some more - and the result is something to be proud of. Here, the very best materials and technologies have been combined in a magic pot and brewed into a board that sets new standards in freeriding.

Riding style:

If snowboarding means powder to you, then the Alchemist is your magic wand. It also works incredibly well on steep slopes, hard runs and far from the resort.

Shape:

The directional shape ensures lift for trips out into the powder, offers stability and control and guarantees pop. The taper means the nose is wider than the tail and promotes smooth turn entry and exit, stability at speed and enhanced deep snow float. The larger volume in the front area allows you to make effortless turns in deep and soft snow and increases the float enormously.

Profile:

The Alchemist comes with a Directional Camber Baseline . The camber between the bindings provides decent ollie pop and powerful turns, while the rocker in the nose provides even more float.

Flex:

A harder flex guarantees full control, reactivity and agility in all conditions.

Construction:

The S1 Core retains its pop for a long time and is designed to increase pressure on the edges. Triax Glass provides torsional rigidity and unparalleled edge hold.SpaceGlass inserts increase edge hold along the contact points, providing smoother running and unmatched durability. Spectral Braid is unique. The special reinforcement provides even more control and stability. The Carbon Power Forks ensure the best energy transfer and snap. Rounding out the high-quality construction, the Wax Infused 4001 Sintered Base is a fast base that will stay that way if you take proper care of it.

Snowboards are usually delivered ready-to-ride with a waxed base and sharpened edges. However, this so-called factory-tuning is not very durable and your new snowboard should be properly waxed after a few days and maintained on a regular basis.

The C-8 is an entirely new direction for Ride. We set out to design the smoothest riding binding in the world and the C-8 did not disappoint. The Urethane in the Slimeback Highback provides a smooth ride and allows for maximum lateral mobility. The C-Series Performance Chassis pairs an aluminum heelcup with a glass filled nylon base tray. The aluminum heelcup provides the feel and durability of aluminum where you need it while the composite tray offers a damp and responsive ride. The Reversible Ankle Strap provides two riding positions. Ride with the stiff part of the strap on the top for a more aggressive feel or swap the straps so the soft part is on top for more flexibility and lateral movement. The canted footbed aligns your joints with a 2.5 degree angle while providing more leverage over the tip and tail of your board. Integrated rubber PODS make for an even smoother ride.
