There are some root level bits of kit that often get overlooked and, at worst, are not even catered for.
The humble DJ booth, box, stand, console, call it what you like is a rather essential component of any club or DJ’s set up.
More compact than its MK2 counterpart, the LiteConsole XPRS provides a professional DJ platform suitable for those who are restricted by transportation space.
The LiteConsole XPRS has an almost identical appearance to the MK2, but the truss side pieces are replaced with slimline versions and the whole thing now folds down in an ultra-compact manner, meaning that it can be carried to a gig in a hatchback car, leaving plenty of room for other equipment.
As with the MK2, the XPRS has plenty of space for a plethora of control gear spread over two separate levels and multiple units can be joined together to create an even larger frontage. The console is also fully customisable offering creative potential only limited by your imagination.
This XPRS combines all the most desirable features of MK2 in a sleeker, lighter package. The design makes the system even easier to assemble – taking one person just a matter of minutes.
SPECIFICATION
Measuring 1330mm (w) by 1150mm (h) by 900mm (d) the LiteConsole XPRS is lightweight and packs down flat to just 166mm (w). The console integrates a large equipment platform at a height of 900mm, and comes complete with a large acrylic front panel to conceal kit and cables.
The XPRS’s primary shelf provides plenty of space for gear – notably Pioneer CDJ-2000s will fit comfortably without extending underneath the angled shelf. The angled shelf that sits above the main surface can be used for CD wallets or other equipment such as laptops or lighting controllers. There is also a third lower shelf, positioned about 30mm from the floor, that is ideal for amps and other equipment. The aluminium upper fascia panel, along with the acrylic front panel, hide gearand cables, and the whole thing is designed to be eye-catching and to create a professional impression.
In addition to the innovative folding frame, acrylic front panel, aluminium upper fascia panel and the three shelves, the basic LiteConsole XPRS kit includes a lower kick plate, two acrylic side panels, a support pole and a set of two carry bags.
The LiteConsole XPRS is available as standard in three finishes: natural (aluminium), black and white.
ASSEMBLY
The booth is assembled by unfolding the frame, attaching the support pole (if required), placing the bottom and primary shelves in place, and then the front acrylic panel. Next the angled shelf, the acrylic side panels and kick plate are added. The final stage of assembly is hooking the fascia panel over the front of the unit.
The entire process takes one person less than five minutes!
CUSTOMISATION
Although impressive enough in its off-the-shelf format, the LiteConsole truly comes into its own when customised. There are numerous ways to do this, many of which cost less than you might think.
The XPRS includes a semi-opaque acrylic front panel that gives the console a simple, yet stylish, finish. This can be backlit to impressive effect or covered with a vinyl logo, offering a simple and cost effective personalisation opportunity. Similarly, the acrylic sidepanels can be customised with vinyl logos.
The aluminium front fascia panel can be laser cut with your business name or logo, then backlit with an LED light source.
For those looking to utilise visuals as a part of their performance, the central front space of the console can accommodate a 50? plasma screen using a free-standing bracket.
Also available is a lighting gantry in a matching truss design to complement your console. The horizontal is set back to ensure stability and the height is adjustable – simply attach to the sides of the XPRS at the desired level. The gantry comes in three finishes – natural, black and white – to match your XPRS perfectly.
