Hvilke endringer har vi gjort, og hvorfor?
Det finnes mange hundre forskjellige måter å skrive en stillingsannonse på; det reviderte forslaget av vår egen annonse er bare én av dem, og er laget for å best beskrive - kanskje også litt satt på spissen - hva man bør endre eller tenke på.
"Can you crack the SEO code across the Nordics?" er for noen kanskje vag (eller snarere svært ambisiøs?), men poenget er at overskrift og stillingstittel ikke skal være lik. I tillegg får du flere klikk inn til annonsen dersom du bruker et spørsmål eller en påstand som stoppeffekt.
Her har vi gjort følgende:
Generelt en “renere” tekst, samt et enklere oppsett hvor man fort og enkelt kan analysere teksten
Si hva du kan tilby tidlig – gjerne først! Hvorfor skal kandidaten velge deg og bruke tid på å søke? (Denne seksjonen ble altså flyttet opp; se lenger ned for originalplassering).
Inkluder en mangfoldserklæring det ligger tyngde bak, utover “vi fokuserer på mangfold” eller “mangfold er viktig” – ta gjerne med et “bevis”
Den originale annonsen hadde flere avskrekkende adjektiver, overflødige maskuline ord og floskler man fint kan sløyfe eller omformulere. Derfor har vi:
Omformulert ord som “excel”, “exceptional”, “strong”, “thrive”, “eager”, “passion”
Mye av originalteksten var overflødig, hvor skrev det samme to ganger på forskjellige måter i samme avsnitt, eksempelvis: "Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. You possess the ability to analyze data, identify patterns, and draw actionable insights that will drive our SEO strategies forward." Her kan man sløyfe første setning og beholde den siste.
Her er et eksempel på en ekskluderende formulering:"Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in Norwegian language and English. You have the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and effectively." I dette tilfellet kan man tenke litt over bruken av "exceptional"
Husk at dette er ønskelisten din. Ett menneske er svært sjelden alt, og enkelte grupper klikker ikke "Søk her" med mindre de føler de matcher alle krav. Harde ferdigheter kan læres – vurder derfor å myke opp litt, fjern unødvendige punkter, og avslutt listen på en inviterende måte!
Den største endringen her er å aktivt bruke mer “du”-form, samt å omgjøre punktlisten til avsnitt. Ingen stor endring fra originalen, egentlig; dette er for å vise at man ikke alltid trenger punkt-/kravlister, og at man heller kan lage en historie.
Begge deler fungerer (punkt-/kravliste eller avsnitt), men vær obs på bruken av punktlisten - dette kan oppfattes som en sjekkliste hvor man bør oppfylle alle kravene, så man kan miste et par knallgode kandidater her.
Ha også i bakhodet: nesten hver tredje kvinne sier hun må beherske 90 prosent eller mer av kvalifikasjonskravene i en stillingsannonse for å søke på jobben (Kilde: SelectionPartner, 2015).
Seksjonen "What we offer" ble flyttet opp til begynnelsen av annonseteksten - si hva du kan tilby tidlig, gjerne helt først! Hvorfor skal kandidaten velge deg og bruke tid på å søke?
... Sist, men ikke minst, ikke glem nøkkelord og arbeidsspråk!
