Frontend Designer

Canal Digital deliver TV experiences to nearly 900 000 satellite dish customers throughout the Nordics. We are constantly developing our products to improve every bit of our customer journey, in doing so we experiment, we learn, we have fun and we succeed!

We are looking for a frontend developer with a passion for design to join our team!

How will you work?

In order to succeed in a constantly shifting market, we work agile with focus on short time-to-market through usability testing, A/B testing, design thinking etc. We are always looking for new ways of optimizing our ways, and we want you to contribute to our process innovation.

So what is a frontend designer in Canal Digital?

The role involves understanding, constructing and visualising how people use Canal Digital?s digital products. The role will transform UX-design into elegant, easy-to-use web sites that aims to increase conversion rates and self-service. You will be a part of a small, diverse team as well as cooperating with other departments of the company.

And to be even more specific, here is the bullet-list:

• Work closely with product leads, designers, project managers and back-end developers to implement versatile front-end solutions
• Optimise our web products to maximise speed and scale
• Create solutions for both desktop computers and mobile devices
• Translate Canal Digital?s visual identity to code
• Translate UI/UX-designs, business needs, mock-ups, wireframes, and workflows into front-end products
• Develop framework and templates for web in EPI-server
• Setting standards for front-end code
• Develop prototypes and demo of features for user testing
• Focus on implementing solutions that support SEO and accessability

Lastly, who are we looking for?

We are looking someone that have a great passion for combining frontend development and design. We want our new team member to be hands-on and having a methodical approach to problem solving. You will also have the ability to engange and convice others through your strong communication skills.

Further more:

• Excellent front-end web development skills: Write quality code following best practices for maintainability and reusability and is fanatical about clean, reliable, scalable code for responsive sites.
• An extensive experience with: HTML, CSS3, JavaScript, Foundation/ Bootstrap React and Angular,
• Knowledge of Node, GULP, Typescript, Less and SASS, Adobe Creative cloud
• An good eye for design and UX
• Experience with agile workplaces
