Senior Piping and Layout Engineer

Aker Solutions, Piping & Structural department based in Mid Norway, is responsible for delivering Operations, Maintenance and Engineering Services to our clients within the Oil & Gas market. The team consist of 94 engineers working in different projects in Mid Norway. We are looking for a Senior Piping & Layout engineer who can strengthen our team in Kristiansund.

Responsibilities and Tasks      

•Design and 3D modelling of piping systems
•Area layout and 3D modelling of equipment
•Participate in studies
•Estimation of piping activities
•Communication with client
•Ensure that interfaces towards other disciplines are handled in an efficient way
•Generate drawings and work package for fabrication and installation
•Perform offshore and onshore surveys
•Purchase packages for piping valves, and act as Purchase Responsible  Engineer, make and follow up a Technical Requisition

Qualifications and Personal Qualities     

•Higher technical education (MSc or BSc) within relevant area
•Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
•Good knowledge of PDMS, general computer technology and experience from piping design
•Experience from modification projects in the offshore industry, preferably from the North Sea
•Be able to participate in studies, write a study report, and bring the study in to execution
•Experience from performing site-surveys (necessary certificates mandatory)
•Knowledge of governing regulations and standards; ASME, NORSOK etc
•Excellent interpersonal skills
•Ability to take initiative and to be flexible.
•Fluent in Norwegian and English - verbally and orally
