Bluware is looking for 2-3 new software developers to strengthen our fantastic development team.
Bluware is a rapidly growing international IT-company, head-quartered in Houston, with offices in Oslo (Norway). Bluware provides an out-of-this-world software platform, charting the course for truly disruptive innovation within the oil and gas sector. The platform accelerates digital transformation through artificial intelligence, machine learning, and cloud computing, outperforming anything else on the market. In addition, we offer consultancy services in terms of developing client-specific solutions on top of our platform. Bluware’s clients are among the world’s largest energy companies. In Oslo we are 30 people, mostly software developers with varied backgrounds, but also a handful of geoscience experts. As our main development languages, we use C++/CUDA as well as Python for scripting. We put great emphasis on correct, efficient and documented code that can be used in production system. Going forward we are combining our existing C++ frameworks with cloud technologies to create distributed solutions.
The Bluware Oslo office is currently seeking 2-3 new software developers to contribute to further develop the platform as well to provide tailored software services to our clients.
We are looking for talented and highly motivated people with a strong interest in developing software solutions for scientific applications. We expect that you are self-driven, cooperative and enjoy working in an agile and creative environment. Both recent graduates as well as experienced developers are encouraged to apply.
The successful candidate will become a member of Data science group that consists of data science programmers and geophysics experts. We are working closely with our clients on challenging problems covering exploration and development phases of oil and gas value-chain.
Qualifications
The qualified candidate needs to have an excellent background in machine learning (ML) and ample programming experience. Familiarity with software architecture, design, optimization and maintenance are a plus.
Core technical skills:
· Strong background in machine learning, numerical mathematics, statistics and computer science (algorithms, data structure, etc.)
· Proficiency in Python
· Working knowledge of tools for the cloud computing and data science domains, such as Kubernetes, Docker/rkt, Spark, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Caffee, Cassandra, Matlab, and related ML libraries
· Experience with Agile development methodologies
Other desirable skills:
· C++, C#, Java application development
· Familiarity with Nvidia CUDA
· Client/server architecture (Web) and JavaScript
