Financial Business Controller

This is a newly created position for an enthusiastic and experienced finance professional to join our growing team. This permanent position is well suited to an individual that is looking to advance their career in Finance and Administration, and to gain hands-on experience in a growing publicly listed company. Based within the Finance team, you will ensure that the Organisation has robust financial and operational controls in place to support the research, clinical and drug development operations and finance and administration functions.

You will be responsible for:

·      Leading the analysis and control of financial performance of international R&D projects

·      Leading the development of financial reporting systems and procedures.  

·      Supporting the preparation of annual and quarterly external financial reports

·      Supporting the financial reporting to the management team and Board of Directors including preparation of financial reports for Board meetings and statutory and public reporting.

·      Ensuring the business is compliant with statutory reporting and relevant financial legislation, including stock exchange regulations 

·      Leading the management and maintenance of insider lists

·      Contributing to the process of vendor selection and support the financial elements of contract drafting and completion, including maintaining deadlines and managing contract performance and cost targets

·      Manage a contracts administration system

You will be fully conversant with philosophies and regulatory guidelines relating to financial operations and will ideally hold a Masters of Finance degree. You will have knowledge of reporting requirements for publicly listed companies in Norway which includes knowledge of IFRS. You will have a number of years post qualification relevant experience ideally from a Business Control function from within project based organisation.

You will also have excellent communication skills and be fluent in written and spoken English. Your strong attention to detail and outstanding organisational skills as well as an ability to work collaboratively within an international matrix organisation will ensure your success. The position is located at our head office in Bergen with some international travel.
