We are currently seeking a Bioinformatician with strong data analytical skills to work on next generation cancer vaccines! This is a unique opportunity to become part of our rapidly growing, exciting and dedicated Vaccibody team. You will gain knowledge from and take an active part in advancing the Vaccibody vaccine-development in one of Scandinavia´s leading Biotech companies.
About the role
You will work with a team of talented scientific experts and bioinformaticians with focus on the analysis of proprietary and public high throughput ‘omics data to advance the research & development on shared cancer antigens as efficient immune targets for a new generation of therapeutic and prophylactic vaccines. You are a proactive and motivated team player, with strong problem solving and data analysis skills. And you believe that good communication is key to getting things done.
You will:
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team of experts (bioinformaticians, biostatisticians, software engineers and immunologists) to further develop our program on off-the-shelf cancer vaccines
- Develop and implement bioinformatics pipelines for high-quality production-ready analysis
- Analyze and handle proprietary clinical/preclinical data, as well as public ‘omics data to:
- Support development of vaccines that include relevant cancer antigens as targets
- Provide supporting data for preclinical experiments
- Identify biomarkers to support the selection of target patient populations for the development of clinical studies
- Organize proprietary and public data to provide a framework for robust and reproducible data analysis
- Prepare presentations and documentations for internal teams and external collaborators
Key qualifications:
- MSc/PhD in bioinformatics, computational biology, cancer genomics or relevant discipline
- Experience with analysis of genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics and/or immunomics data, preferably within the oncology field
- Experience in programming and experience in languages often used in bioinformatics (e.g., R/Python)
- Experience with Linux/cloud/HPC environment
The bioinformatician/data analyst will report to Monika Sekelja, Associate Director, Head of Bioinformatics.
