The Sustainability Manager in Aker Horizons will be part of a cross-functional team and report directly to the CEO. The position is located at Aker Horizon`s office in Fornebu, Bærum.
The position requires residency in Norway.
The Role
As our Sustainability Manager you will drive Aker Horizons’ sustainability targets and programs.
You will:
- define requirements and standards with respect to sustainability for portfolio companies, reflecting Aker Horizons’ active ownership
- establish a network for collaboration and best practice sharing across our portfolio companies
- develop and maintain integrated ESG reporting across the portfolio, including to financial stakeholders (EU Taxonomy, Green Finance Framework etc.)
- develop and maintain ESG screening for new investments in the Aker Horizons portfolio
- monitor and analyze external trends, expectations, and requirements on sustainability aspects to maintain best-in-class performance and reporting
- contribute to profiling of the company externally and engage actively in the public debate
- collaborate with the communications team in conveying Aker Horizons’ sustainability efforts, including preparation of the sustainability section of Aker Horizons’ annual report and other reporting requirements
Who are you?
You have:
- preferably a Master’s degree in a relevant subject. Work experience can compensate for a lack of formal education
- min. 5 years’ experience from a comparable position or a related field of work, and strong interest for the renewables and green technologies sectors
- strong analytical skills and ability to turn data into insights
- excellent communication skills in English and one of the Nordic languages. Other languages are considered a plus
- the ability to effectively communicate and build consensus with internal and external stakeholders
- excellent cooperation skills and high integrity
- a structured way of working and ability to work under pressure and on your own initiative
