Want to be part of our growing Vaccibody team? We are now seeking a Senior Scientist, Translational immunology. In this role, you will serve as translational medicine expert and will be responsible for leading analysis of all pharmacodynamic and biomarker data from patient material in Vaccibody’s clinical trials. You will work directly with immune monitoring data from trials to advance translational immunology capabilities in close collaboration with the Bioinformatics team and the Clinical team. You will also be responsible for driving novel strategies based on scientific data.
The role will report to Karoline Schjetne, Vice President Head of Bioanalytical Sciences.
Job responsibilities
- Collaborate with both internal research, bioinformatics and data analysis, clinical development teams and external groups/CROs to advance translational immunology capabilities
- Improvement of current processes and implementation of new technologies to advance translational immunology capabilities
- Work in collaboration with data science experts (internal and external) to propose novel approaches for target identification and validation, indication prioritization and MOA/biomarker identification
- Analysis and presentation of results to larger scientific groups
- Train and supervise scientists in novel biomarker strategies to accomplish program and company goals
- Work productively in a team environment and independently deliver on timelines
Education and experience requirements
- Ph.D. in Immunology or other relevant field
- Minimum five years of industry or relevant academic experience
- Prior experience working with immuno-oncology systems, translational medicine activities and biomarker research by a strong publication record
- Must have a good understanding and prior experience in working with "omics" technologies including but not limited to Genomics, Transcriptomics and Proteomics
- Demonstrated experience working with contract research organizations and academic collaborators
- Experience from clinical lab is highly desirable

- Excellent organizational, communication skills and a pro-active mentality
- Demonstrated experience functioning within a multi-disciplinary team and ability to integrate cross-functional information, to optimize workflows.
- Strong cooperative team player, ability to be flexible and adapt to a changing environment
- Strong writing and verbal communication skills
- English fluency is required (verbal and written)

Location: For this position, we offer a flexible working arrangement. The candidate may be positioned outside Oslo - however, travel may be expected.
