Quality Control Analyst
At Chiron we take the quality of our products incredibly seriously and we are continuously striving to develop our processes for the benefit of our customers.
As a result, we are looking for a chemist with a master's degree to join the Quality Control (QC) analysis team in our ISO 17025 and ISO 17034 accredited laboratories. Our ideal candidate will have broad and demonstrable practical experience of modern organic chemical analysis methodologies, most importantly experience with modern chromatographic and spectrometric instrumental methods (e.g., LC-UV-MS and GC-MS). Experience of working in an accredited laboratory environment is an advantage.
Tasks:
Operational analyses of a wide range of reference standard products ranging from pharmaceuticals to environmental and food contaminants, from petroleum products to the latest reference standards used in forensic chemistry and forensic/clinical toxicology laboratories;
Sample preparation;
Operation and maintenance of analytical instrumentation (GC-MS, LC-MS, TGA);
Participation in the preparation and review of ISO accredited laboratory procedures;
Supporting the development and validation of new analytical methods as required;
Carrying out stability and homogeneity testing of products.
Qualifications and skills:
Master’s degree / Engineer or equivalent in organic chemical analysis, preferably with several years of experience.
Good theoretical and practical knowledge of LC and GC as well as modern MS techniques.
Knowledge of other analysis methods such as titration, TGA and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy is an advantage.
