Position Summary
PGS Operations is looking for an Assistant Project Manager (APM) to join the Acquisition Projects team based in Oslo.
This is an ideal role to enter the Operations group and learn more about what we do at sea. We are looking for motivation, reliability and potential; first-hand experience of Operations or Acquisition Projects is not required and this could for example be a good fit for someone in Imaging looking for a new challenge. The role itself will give significant operational and commercial exposure and is an excellent starting point for many different career opportunities within PGS.
As our APM, you will work with a world-wide team of Project Managers to provide the necessary support on multiple projects in both planning and execution phases.
Taking direct lead over various project aspects, the APM will work to help implement project goals as directed by the Project Managers. You will have delegated authority to oversee project goals, create and deliver reports, manage external resources as required, analyze data from project execution, and any other duties as determined by the Project Managers.
Main Tasks
- Focal point and lead in all procurement and commercial management and oversight of 3rd Party project-related resources (such as QC representatives, MMO, PAM operators and FLO resources).
- Assist in compilation of Project Plans and meeting presentations.
- Responding to customer requests for detailed information in the project planning phase as delegated by Project Managers.
- Coordinate and arrange for client auditing of vessels/field unit.
- Coordinate and manage the assignment of Ships Agent for projects and campaigns.
- Assist as required in the finalizing of MERP plans.
- Coordinate and administer post-project feedback evaluations.
Required qualifications
- BSC in a relevant subject or minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience.
- Minimum 3 years of general business or operational experience and preferably 2 years with PGS.
Preferred qualifications
- Good understanding of the main aspects of the PGS vessel operations.
- Ability to make timely decisions based on the information available and within the authority of the role.
- Strong communicator with the ability to share relevant information
- Ability to contribute to a team of subject and technical experts to solve problems efficiently.
- Strong commitment to HSEQ and PGS business ethics while working with 3rd parties outside of PGS.
- Good written and verbal English skills.
