Usability architect / Interaction designer

Vismas corporate marketing and communication department is responsible for implementing the corporate Brand Code and Communication Strategy in traditional and online media, as well as establishing and developing HCI-and design guidelines for all applications and services.

The person we are looking for will be our Usability architect and will work on a wide range of projects for our various business units in the Nordics. The position is to be focused on the usability and interaction design for our public communication channels but will also work with assisting the Design- and HCI manager to establish and maintain HCI and usability standards in the different units and divisions of Visma. The successful candidate is passionate about web usability and user oriented design, keeps up to date on trends and issues in web communication, and loves team work.

Core work tasks:

• Participate in the creative process from initial brief to handover
• Develop prototypes, wireframes and mockups for projects
• Information architecture, information modeling and content structuring
• Work closely with content producers, developers, and marketers to ensure that Vismas websites follow usability principles
• Plan and perform user testing, and identify problem areas on our websites
• Maintain and develop HCI-guidelines
• Contribute and manage common HCI-activities

Requirements:

• Relevant higher education, preferable master degree in design, usability or cognitive science from university or college
• At least 3 years work experience within the field of HCI/Usability research
• Have a solid understanding and experience from the most commonly used usability methods
• Understanding of user behavior and the flow of traffic through a website
• Project management experience

Visma has recently changed to EPiServer for all online publishing. Experience from working with EPiServer would be considered a plus.

Location is at the Visma headquarters in Oslo, Skøyen, Norway.
