Mechanical System & Products is an engineering and execution muscle within the company, working towards cutting-edge technologies and engineering excellence to meet tomorrow’s global energy needs. The department is responsible for concept definition, design and development of next-generation subsea products, project execution both on-shore and offshore. Our products and systems are made to withstand rough conditions, whether its above or below sea surface. Ensuring engineering excellence is key to succeeding in developing and delivering assets to the energy sector. We play a key role throughout the energy industry with a focus on technology development, thereby powering the change towards the energy transition.
Our department has direct access to state-of-the-art in-house R&D and manufacturing facilities with equipment and tools for concept development, product manufacturing and testing. Joining our team of 200+ skilled engineers, you will contribute towards technologies and solutions necessary for solving global energy challenges for future generations.
We are now looking for a Subsea Lead Engineer who wants to join our team and who can strengthen our capabilities within our Workover System group, as part of WOS & Tooling – Mechanical System & Products Engineering department in Tranby.
As Lead Engineer, you will get an opportunity of developing our people, technical and project management skills, and take an active role in development of new technologies. You will gain valuable operations experience and build your network through internal and external customers contact.
What will you be doing?
- Managing and executing engineering and technical related activities in projects to ensure timely delivery, with right quality and within budget
- Interacting with WOS & Tooling product management to provide technical input from projects to ensure input to Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)
- Following-up on activities of other internal departments, manufacturing and suppliers to ensure project or product schedule, delivery or development
- Establishing customer and market relations to ensure proper project delivery or product development
- Managing and leading engineering teams and tasks
- Approving technical documentation related to product portfolio or project
We think you should have:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree within technical disciplines
- Minimum 3 years’ experience from oil & gas industry, preferably within Subsea systems
- Knowledge of relevant standards within Subsea systems
- Knowledge of CAD software (SolidWorks and AutoCAD preferred)
- Proficiency in written and spoken English
- A strong team-work mindset with the ability to cooperate with diverse and international colleagues
- Pro-active attitude with an eagerness to take responsibility
- You are adaptable and enjoy working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
