We are looking to expand our team in Innovation Management for Earth Observation
This role will focus clearly on building strategic new value in the remote sensing part of KSATs business area where we are the world leader for time-sensitive satellite-based solutions, such as oil spill and vessel detection.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced colleague to join our current team of four. As a Director of Innovation Management, your job will be to systematically explore new areas of growth, and explore how to strengthen our offering and market reach in the future. You will take the lead in exploring new opportunities in collaboration with customers, colleagues and partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing and implementing innovation strategies and initiatives that drive growth and competitiveness with both short & long term focuses, with focus on impactful revenue growth possibilities.
- Lead cross-functional teams to identify and evaluate new market opportunities taking lead to get it through the innovation funnel.
- Explore expansions in the remote sensing business, understand how to solve user needs in current markets and new potential markets, analyse industry trends and competitor activity to identify potential areas for growth, and identify potential M&A targets
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and industry experts
Key Attributs
As the ideal candidate, you preferably have
- A strong business acumen and able to foresee market trends
- Ability to understand digital product offerings and create strong value propositions
- knowledge in creating leading digital products, preferably thorough understanding of different components of the value chain for satellite derived analytics
- Insight about Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning is a strong advantage
- A deep understanding of the satellite earth observation market, either working with it or in it is an advantage
- Leadership skills and experience leading cross-functional teamed projects
- Proven track record of driving innovation and growth in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Experience in presenting to management team and provide leadership to get decisions made by presenting solid data sets
- Ability to think strategically and outside the box
- Excellent written and spoken English skills

Work location
KSAT's HQ in Tromsø is preferred, but other KSAT offices can be considered.
