We are looking for:
Advanced Manufacturing Engineers / Product Development Engineers / Design Engineers / Operators
We are looking for engineers and technicians specialized in additive manufacturing to strengthen our core team. In this role, you will be part of a team that develops and implements additive manufacturing solutions for our clients. You will also conduct research to keep up-to-date with the latest advancements in the industry.
The ideal candidate will have a solid technical background, preferably with a focus on additive manufacturing technologies or other manufacturing technologies. As a technical team member at Fieldmade, your work will encompass various areas such as design for additive manufacturing, product development, simulation-driven design, reverse engineering, topology optimization, and machine design, among others.
We have openings suitable for both experienced technicians and newly graduated engineers. At Fieldmade, we believe in a hands-on approach to ensure our customers’ success. Therefore, willingness to travel and adaptability to new environments are essential.
Tasks:
- Understand client needs and develop tailored solutions
- Develop mobile additive manufacturing solutions
- Design and develop products for additive manufacturing
- Conduct on-site engineering and production
- Collaborate with teams to solve engineering challenges
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables
- Optimize existing additive manufacturing processes
Required:
- A Master’s, Bachelor’s, or other higher technical education. Extensive relevant experience may compensate for a lack of formal education.
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, including skills in report writing, deriving requirements, creating documentation, and conducting design review presentations.
- Experience with CAD and other engineering software tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Based in Oslo or willing to relocate.
- Must be a national of a NATO member country.
- Needs to be able to obtain a security clearance.
Desired:
- Experience operating additive manufacturing equipment with both metals and polymers.
- Prior experience in product design.
- Familiarity with design and additive software such as Materialise Magics, nTopology, SOLIDWORKS, etc.
- Experience with simulation software and simulation-driven design processes.
- Working knowledge of topological optimization and modelling.
- Understanding of manufacturing limitations.
- Project management skills.
- Experience working with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
