Job Summary
ConocoPhillips makes use of a separate maintenance organization to execute maintenance on particularly demanding and critical equipment in the Greater Ekofisk area. The organization consists of around 130 employees on- and offshore with various expertise, including Rotating Equipment, Crane, PSV, Wellhead, ESD, SAS, Electrical, HVAC, Telecom, Measurement and Electronic Control.Specialized Maintenance is looking for a SAS Engineer to work offshore in a 14-28 rotation.
Job Description
Daily operation of safety and automation system (SAS) in the Greater Ekofisk Area, including technical operational support, modifications, and maintenance. SAS consists of ABB 800xA and ABB Advant 400. The work includes installation of equipment, modification in plc logic and fire control centrals, troubleshooting, loop testing, and general maintenance of IT infrastructure connected to SAS. In addition, there will be verification and testing of functionality according to documentation. The work is conducted in accordance with laws, rules and governing documentation in a way that safeguards the security, integrity, and availability of the systems.
Areas of responsibility and work
Ensure that work is conducted in accordance with ConocoPhillips HSE expectations.
Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on ABB 800xAand ABB 400 series (including ABB Safeguard) and associated communication protocols and IMS solutions.
Testing of functionality according to documentation.
Ensure that critical documentation, such as F&G/ESD/PSD logic, C&E diagram and SCD, is established and updated.
Assist in the assessment of modifications or interventions that may affect the function, performance, safety or integrity of the equipment and system.
Provide technical input to modification projects in the early phase, and follow-up in later phases if required.
Assist planners (COP/contractors) with correct solutions for SAS.
Review work packages and verify change projects according to governing documentation.
Contribute to ensure that established maintenance campaigns are conducted according to plan in a safe and efficient manner.
Undertake and contribute to the commissioning of projects from subcontractors.
Contribute with expertise in multidisciplinary teams.
Report deviations, dangerous conditions and put forward proposals for improvement measures.
Keep up to date on current laws, governing documentation, course requirements and authority requirements.
Shorter or longer stays onshore expected for participation in projects or Factory Acceptance Tests with suppliers.
Assist first line operations/maintenance crew and contractor personnel.
Required Qualifications
High level of expertise within safety and automation systems for ABB, with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience from operation and maintenance of SAS systems offshore.
Experience with ABB 800xA, ABB Controllers and Autrosafe fire centrals.
Experience with communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet, Masterbus 300)
Knowledge of IEC SIL standards 61508 og 61511.
Proficient in English and Norwegian.
Permit to live and work in Norway on a permanent basis with no restrictions.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor of engineering, within automation/instrumentation/cybernetics. Extensive work experience can compensate for lack of formal education.
Computer skills, MS Office and SAP.
