DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design and calculation of hydraulic systems and components in accordance with international standards and
- regulations related to the marine and offshore industry.
- Prepare Hydraulics Flow Diagram, bills of material, technical documentation, and test procedures and engineering reports.
- Participate in development projects. Influence the new products and system solutions of the future.
- Contribute to standardization of hydraulic system / components.
- Lead internal activities and group tasks, with cross functional responsibilities.
- Comply with and perform NOV Quality Management System processes and procedures.
- Some travel activities will be expected.
- Technical support for Aftermarket, FE, Sales, and customer.
- The position include versatile and varied engineering work, a close cooperation with other departments and disciplines within NOV.
- Communication with customers and suppliers.
- Contribute to the evolution of company culture which embraces safety, sustainability, equality, and diversity.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- We are looking for engineers with a Master's or Bachelor's education (Fluid Power, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Hydraulics) or other equivalent and relevant experience.
- Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
EXPERIENCE:
- Solid understanding of advanced hydraulic theory and the ability to apply knowledge in the design of complex hydraulic circuits in an OEM environment is preferred.
- Working knowledge of pneumatic components and systems.
- Hydraulic experience with land and offshore drill floor and auxiliary equipment is preferred.
- You should have in-depth knowledge of hydraulic components and suppliers in the market.
- Preferably 5 years of relevant experience.
SKILLS, TRAINING, OR SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE:
- Knowledge of regulations related to the marine, land - offshore industry, ISO, DNV, ABS, PED, SAE, and ANSI fluid power related standards.
- Thorough knowledge of AutoCAD and computer skills
- Ability to effectively communicate technical principles and equipment operation to other stakeholders.
- Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
