We are looking for several positions in different locations Stord, Egersund, Verdal, or at our Head office in Fornebu. Our department is now looking for Quantity Measurement Engineers.
What will you be doing?
As a Quantity Surveyor / Quantity Engineer, you will be responsible for calculating and applying fabrication norms to estimate man-hours in fabrication projects. You will work in the intersection between engineering, fabrication and finance, ensuring that the projects are delivered on time, within budget and according to specifications. Your main tasks will include:
- Preparing and reviewing cost estimates and bids for fabrication projects
- Applying fabrication norms and standards to calculate workorders (man-hours and materials)
- Monitoring and controlling fabrication progress and productivity
- Identifying and managing risks and opportunities in measurement contracts
- Coordinating and communicating with project managers, engineers, fabricators and clients
- Preparing and presenting reports and documentation
We think you should have:
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering, construction management, quantity surveying or related field
- At least 3 - 5 years of experience in fabrication (practical work) or as an engineer
- Knowledge of fabrication norms and standards
- Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel and Word
- Excellent analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility and willingness to travel to fabrication sites as required
