In August 2022, Aker Solutions entered into an agreement with SLB and Subsea 7 to form a new Joint Venture for subsea. Our Joint Venture came into effect on the 2nd of October 2023 and has been named OneSubsea.
By forming OneSubsea, SLB, Aker Solutions and Subsea 7 have come together to create the world’s leading subsea technology and solutions provider. We are focused on accelerating innovation to create a step change in subsea production economics and reduce emissions in subsea operations.
The joint venture brings together deep reservoir domain expertise, broad front-end and system design knowledge. We provide an extensive field-proven subsea production and processing technology portfolio, world-class manufacturing scale and capacity, and unique pore-to-process integration capabilities.
To enable further growth and innovation across our Subsea offerings and solutions, we are looking for a QS Inspector. The role requires flexibility due to the requirement of regular travel to suppliers.
What will you be doing?
- The purpose of the QS inspector is to release products from suppliers once they have verified that all OSS quality requirements have been met
- Responsible for releasing material from suppliers that meets OSS engineering, administrative, project and quality requirements
- Appropriately highlight any quality issues to supplier
- Review and acceptance of verification documents
- Identify quality failures at suppliers and create non-conformity notification; this includes reporting any cancelled or delayed inspections
- Actively support suppliers with understanding and implementation of OSS quality requirements
- Complete all necessary reporting requirements within the established KPI
- Adhere to all necessary HSSE requirements at supplier sites and immediately report any deviations
We think you should have:
- Bachelor degree in engineering/welding or relevant experience may compensate lack of formal education
- Knowledge/experience within NDT (Certifications are desireable)
- At least 3-5 years of experience as a Quality Inspector/ Welding Inspector.
- Preferably with IWC International Welding Certificate.
- Competencies in other areas like Drawings for CNC Machining and Dimensional Control of complex machined parts are qwlcome.
- Self-sufficiency with regard to verifying quality of product, but able to communicate with wider business for clarifications when required
- Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent command of English.
- Flexibility to visit suppliers frequently.
