Piping & Layout Engineer - Project Development

The position

By joining our team in Projects, Drilling & Procurement you will have the opportunity to:

• Be a part of a highly skilled team within Piping & Layout in Equinor’s project organization which is responsible for the major projects in Equinor. Both in Norway and internationally. The team provides engineers to develop, mature and follow-up execution of the projects.
• Participate as discipline lead or discipline engineer within Piping Layout and/or Piping Engineering in Greenfield, Brownfield and Low Carbon Solution projects in all project phases (early phase to construction). Both on- and offshore.
• Specify project requirements and scope. 
• Follow-up of contractor on deliveries, scope, requirements and plans within Piping & Layout, material handling, E3D model and Life Cycle Information (LCI).
• Piping Engineering tasks and analysis such as pipe supports and piping details.
• Ensure good cooperation between all stakeholders (Operation, Plant integrity, Contractor, and the professional ladder).

• BSc/MSc degree in relevant technical discipline and minimum 7 - 10+ years of experience within Piping Engineering and/or Piping & Layout is preferred.
• Relevant experience may compensate for formal qualifications and experience working as a contractor is also an advantage.
• Multi-discipline knowledge an advantage.
• Piping Layout and/or Piping Engineering experience from early phase studies, concept studies and project detail engineering.
• Experience within hydrogen may be an advantage.
• Ability to handle responsibility and high workloads.
• Flexible towards traveling and mobility.
• Fluent in both spoken and written English and good knowledge or willingness to learn Norwegian.
