Hydro Aluminium Metal, a leading supplier of aluminium products with a global production network of nearly 7,000 employees. With primary metal production facilities in Europe, Canada, Brazil, Australia and Qatar, and recycling facilities throughout Europe and in the U.S., two-thirds of our primary aluminum production is based on renewable energy.
Recycling is a high-growth area for the future, fitting perfectly with the megatrend towards a circular, more sustainable and low-carbon economy. In Hydro, Recycling is one of the strategic growth pillars with ambitious targets in use of post-consumer scrap in our production of green high-quality products. Business unit Recycling operates 12 recycling plants and a scrap sorting plant. We have recently completed and announced new investments in Europe and the US and are aiming for no less than industry leadership in aluminium recycling.
The Finance team in Recycling is responsible for following up our existing operations and is a key driver for profitable recycling growth. We are now looking for a Business Analyst to join our team on our growth journey.

Support the plants and business unit in reaching overall strategic and financial goals

Perform investment analysis and support project execution

Support business development initiatives, including possible M&A and integration projects

Further enhance benchmarking and performance trend analysis; follow-up performance targets

Drive digital development to support decision making with analysis, dashboards and automation of manual processes
-
Support the annual business plan process and other reporting, planning and performance management processes in recycling
Qualifications that will help you get ahead
-
Master's degree, preferably within economics/finance/business, engineering or another quantitative discipline with strong academic records
-
3-5 years of relevant experience
-
Previous experience and/or strong interest in working for an industrial company
-
Competence and drive to support development of digital tools and solutions, including financial modeling and benchmarking.

Advanced user of Excel and PowerPoint is a requirement.

Experience in data analytics and with other analytical and business intelligence tools is preferred (SAP analytics cloud / SAC, PowerBI etc.)

Familiarity with programing languages, cloud solutions, databases and SAP knowledge would be an advantage

Fluent in English, verbal and written.

Skills in German, Spanish, French, or Polish could be an advantage
