Passion for sustainability and a good business sense? We are looking for a Group Purchasing Manager Sustainability
Group Purchasing is responsible for negotiation and administration of Jotun’s global supplier agreements and global categories. We are now looking for a new team member with good commercial understanding and in-depth interest in the field of sustainability to strengthen our department’s sustainability competence in the role as Group Purchasing Manager Sustainability.
In this position you will work to ensure focus and proactive involvement and support for Jotun’s sustainability program and implementation of such. Represent Group Purchasing in relevant fora both internally and vis-a-vis supplier for both raw materials, packaging, and indirect materials.
This position will be located at our headquarters in Sandefjord, Norway and report to the Group Purchasing Director - Category Management – Purchasing.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and follow up Group Purchasing’s sustainability plan, targets, goals, and programs together with the management team and relevant internal stakeholders, based on Jotun’s overall sustainability ambitions and goals.
- Initiate, coordinate, and follow up sustainability improvement programs with internal stakeholders in relevant function (R&D, Marketing, Sustainability, Product Safety, Group Technical etc.)
- Represent Group Purchasing in relevant internal cross functional sustainability fora and meetings and external meetings when relevant.
- Develop and maintain relevant reports and follow up on progress.
- Ensure that all in Group Purchasing have relevant competence related to sustainable sourcing.
- Work actively with relevant suppliers to promote Jotun’s sustainability program together with the category teams and set targets for suppliers’ sustainability improvement programs based on Jotun’s overall ambitions.
- Manage Group Purchasing’s EcoVadis and Intertek programs and ensure agreed implementation.
- Coordinate and facilitate Jotun’s LCI/LCA initiatives.
- Support Group Purchasing’s other activities as and when required.
What we are looking for
Formal requirements
- Preferably several years of experience from relevant or similar position
- Bsc. Degree or higher within relevant field
- Experience from working with, or an in-depth interest in, the field of Sustainability
- Commercial and business interests
- Willingness to learn and motivation to continuously develop within the purchasing field
- Generally good IT skills
- Proficient in English – both written and spoken
