The position
By joining our team in Functional Centre of Excellence you will have the opportunity to:Take on a key HSE advisory role within project development, providing SSU support to a Project Director (PD), and the Project Management Team (PMT), drawing on the support and expertise of the wider Safety, Security and Sustainability (SSU) network function. You'll be part of the project team from the planning phases all the way through to execution phases, and will support a portfolio of projects covering the mid-Norway region.
In this role you will:
- Establish the SSU program, strategy, and activity plans.
- Ensure that common SSU initiatives are implemented in the project and towards suppliers.
- Ensure that project-specific SSU challenges and risks are managed including assurance.
- Follow-up safety in design including ALARP and BAT and ensure documentation.
- Set ambitious project-specific climate targets in line with Equinor's climate ambitions.
- Contribute to low carbon project design and energy-efficient measures.
- Ensure implementation of Human Rights expectations of supplier’s framework and follow-up HR risks according to requirements.
- Ensure that systematic learning from incidents is captured in project(s) and actions are closed and shared (check/act).
- Stakeholder management internally and externally.
- Contribute to maintain and develop governing documentation within SSU and authority management in projects.
- Follow-up and verify that security requirements are adhered to.
- Ensure that an emergency response organization and plans are established including training.
- Experience transfer and contribution to SSU products through Project development center (PDC).
You

- A Bachelor's or Master’s degree in health, safety or environment (HSE), risk management, a technical subject such as engineering, or other relevant fields.
- Previous relevant work experience within HSE, risk management, engineering or project management.
- Previous experience of managing a broad internal and external stakeholder network, that may include subject matter experts, project leaders, regulatory authorities and suppliers.
- Previous experience of working on projects at various planning and execution phases.
- A clear passion for safety and sustainability, and an SSU role model with the ability to advise and motivate.
- Able to build networks with excellent communication and collaboration skills in both English and Norwegian.
- Previous relevant experience e.g. as lead of tasks or of working in oil and gas, civil engineering or in an industrial setting would be an advantage to your application.
