Shape a Sustainable Future as a Project Environmental Manager
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Environmental Manager to join our client for a consulting assignment. As a Project Environmental Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our clients' projects adhere to environmental legislation, standards, and regulations. Your responsibilities will include monitoring compliance, providing support to project teams, and identifying opportunities to reduce environmental impact. You will act as the main point of contact for all environmental matters on the project, ensuring that waste management and biodiversity protection are prioritized. Qualifications:
We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:
- Environmental Expertise: In-depth knowledge of environmental legislation, regulations, and standards in Norway. Stay up-to-date with changes and trends in the field.
- Compliance Management: Proven experience in ensuring compliance with environmental requirements on construction projects.
- Supplier and Subcontractor Management: Ability to manage and monitor subcontractors and suppliers to ensure compliance with environmental standards.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to serve as the environmental point of contact on projects and provide guidance to colleagues.
- Environmental Management Systems (EMS): Familiarity with EMS and a commitment to driving continuous improvements.
- Sustainability: Passion for promoting circular economy principles and making decisions that protect wildlife, marine life, and biodiversity.
- Documentation: Proficiency in providing relevant project documentation, such as CEMP and Emergency Response Plans.
- Environmental Inspections and Audits: Experience conducting environmental inspections and audits, as well as managing incident investigations and resolutions.
- Hazard Management: Expertise in hazard management techniques and advising on accident prevention and recovery measures.
- Data Reporting: Ability to collect and report data on fuel consumption, waste, and loss of biodiversity.
