DNB Corporate Banking - Ocean Industries; Seafood, Shipping and Offshore
Corporate Analyst
Do you want to work in a team that is influencing the energy transition and developing sustainable financing structures for the largest companies in the maritime sector?
In the Ocean Industries Division, you will be part of a global team of ~140 people. We represent the most internationally oriented business area in DNB covering all main industry segments in the maritime sector: Seafood (fisheries and fish farming), Shipping (incl. ports and terminals), and Offshore (rig, service, and offshore wind).
We aim to be the preferred financial partner for our customers, enabling growth opportunities as well as giving support during challenging times. In addition to maintaining strong industry competence, we need to stay updated on technological developments and international regulations, as well as understanding the key risk elements related to credit exposure, Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) issues.
The Customer Analysis Section (CAS) in Oslo consists of ~20 analysts with different backgrounds and experiences working towards the various industry segments. The section is responsible for the internal processes related to risk analysis of our credit customers and for preparing and presenting cases for decision makers. As an analyst you will work in teams together with relationship managers to provide advice and solutions to our customers, often in close cooperation with colleagues across other areas of the bank.
We are now looking for experienced analysts to cover our customer portfolio in Seafood, but depending on client activity and overall workload you may also be exposed to the other industry segments in the division.
This is an opportunity to develop your career within corporate banking focusing on:
- Analysis of customers' financial and non-financial risk, including ESG-risk and how trends within sustainable development are affecting industries and our customers.
- Driving the process, preparing and presenting credit memos for decision makers.
- Gaining and sharing insight into customers' markets, challenges, and opportunities through preparing market analysis on various industry segments.
- Working in client teams to provide sustainable financing solutions to our customers.
As our new colleague, we expect you to have a keen interest in risk assessment and analysis, a high work ethic, possess an analytical mindset, and a strong desire to develop deep industry competence.
We want to hear from commercial and team-oriented persons with:
- Minimum 3-6 years relevant experience from accounting, maritime industries, finance, auditing or similar.
- Solid understanding of financial modelling and credit risk analysis.
- Interest in developing competence within our industries.
- Higher education at master's degree level with good results.
- Fluent in Norwegian and English.
We can offer a professional, flexible, and social work environment:
Working in Norway's largest financial institution you will take part in the important transition towards a more sustainable seafood industry. We offer a flexible work culture and opportunities to work for shorter or longer periods at our international offices.
