We are seeking a skilled Engineer to strengthen our Quality team in Arendal.

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Battery cell test and Validation Engineer to work within the Outgoing Quality Inspection team. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, implement, and execute testing protocols, as well as analyze and validate results to drive continuous improvement in our outgoing quality processes
You are working directly with customer projects, formation team and cell development to ensure excellent performance and safety of Morrow's Li-Ion battery cells.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and manage the validation plan for Li-ion battery cell testing, ensuring alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Design and develop test plans and procedures.
- Conduct hands-on testing of Li-Ion battery cells on the different test equipment such as Cell Cyclers, Abuse Testers, and Endurance Testers.
- Analyze test data and document findings in a clear and organized manner, and structure these in comprehensive validation reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement appropriate solutions.
- Collaborate with other engineering teams to integrate cell testing into the broader product validation strategy.
- Continuously improve test procedures and protocols based on lessons- learnt and advances in relevant global test standards.
Requirements:
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical or mechanical engineering or other relevant university degree
- Proven experience with Li-Ion battery testing in R&D and/or automotive field
- Proficiency with testing equipment and data analysis tools
- Knowledge of different testing methods (IEC, UL, DIN and ISO)
- Experience in operating battery test equipment
- Experience in working with different standards and testing for certification for Li-ion batteries
- Experience in installation, commissioning and acceptance testing of equipment is a plus

- Self-driven with the ability to perform well both individually and in multi-disciplinary and cross-functional teams
- Ability to handle high workloads and manage several projects at the same time
- Excellent communication skills
- A proactive and pragmatic approach to solving problems and challenges
- Good planning and organizational skills, with attention to detail
- Fluency in English
